It's Been Awhile

Although I wasn't as committed to running during the summer as I should have been, the fabulous Texas fall weather gave me a renewed push to hit the streets again. I'd like to say I love it, but a lot of days I just don't. The process of running doesn't come as easy to me as it did 20 years ago, but I feel like my body needs the exercise even more now than it did back then.

What I love the most are the results. I feel like I'm much healthier than I was 11 months ago, and for the first time in years the size of my jeans is smaller than the size of my shoes. Now that's motivation.

That is awesome! You look great! I do enjoy running, but I think half of it is being alone to exercise. There is something to be said about exercising without kids or cost, even at the wee hours of the morning.

Impressive!!! It will take me a VERY long time before I have smaller pants size than shoe size. :-(

You either have giant feet or a very small body! I am impressed and totally jealous!

PS: Thanks for the book tip. I've just added it to my amazon list. I don't know what's worse: her social pain, or her mother's, vicariously. Growing up is hard, no two ways about it.
