24 Days and Counting

Even though I've a self proclaimed cold-weather-hater, I do love all things Christmas. I have so much fun with the annual baking, decorating, shopping and memory making with my kids. Thanks to Michelle for posting so many fun Christmas ideas on her craft blog and for inspiring me to get a bit crafty this year.

With only a few hours to spare before December, I finished this cute (and easy) mini muffin tin advent calendar last night. I cut scrapbook paper into 2 1/4" squares and backed each square with self-adhesive magnets cut the same size. The numbers are cut from vinyl. (Thanks Sharon!) Since the muffin tin only has 24 spots, we'll just be counting down to Christmas Eve.
Of course the best part are the yummy little Dove Chocolate squares hidden under each number. Happy December!

I love it! I love how clean and simple yours is. I always add too many details to my crafting. I also love the big numbers! Did you have trouble finding magnet sheeting? My kids are excited to start taking turns eating the chocolates ;-)

So cute! What a fun advent calendar! I didn't know that you loved the cold weather as much as I do. That is my least favorite thing about Virginia. I so miss Texas. It was perfect, one snow a year. That is more than enough for me.

I found a 1' x 2' roll of magnetic sheeting at Michael's for $10... only $6 with my 40% off coupon.
