I've always been a bit accident prone. My childhood was plagued with strange injuries - anything from tripping over my own feet to falling out of moving car. As I got older the mishaps continued. In college I ended up in a neck brace from a snow tubing accident, fell while running up the stairs cutting both knees, and slipped on too many icy parking lots and sidewalks to count. The most unusual college injury has to be from the time I was sitting next to the refrigerator in my apartment and a large glass bottle of Mrs. Butterworth's Syrup fell off the top of the fridge right onto my forehead. Yeah, that really hurt.

Through the years my injuries have become fewer and much less severe. I'm still known to burn my hands while cooking and have had more than my share of stubbed toes, but generally it's not too bad and (unfortunately) quite routine.
Last week I think I created a new form of self-injury when I dropped my extra-large can of hairspray mid-spray. I'm not quite sure how it happened. My eyes were closed and I was spraying; next thing I know the can is out of my hand and hits me full force on the nose. Ouch! Luckily the bruise was small and easily covered up.

Look on the bright side - at least the can didn't continue spraying while falling!
Ouch! I think I've done that to my kids. I love the syrup story -- much funnier now than when it happened, probably!
Sounds like we should call you the same name we affectionately call my youngest accident-prone sister "Grace" :)
I didn't know about all this Julie! I'm sorry, but I must say that it's kind of funny! I can say that though, because I've had my share of mishaps too! Oh man! Thanks for sharing! And, we'd LOVE to come visit you! We'll need to arrange that! :)
Did you fall "up" the stairs in the Tanner building?? I did that all the time there. Something was wrong with the stairs there. Seriously. I think some weren't the right height. People tripped up them all the time.
