A Quick Review

Now that I've been home for 168 hours, I'll finally blog my trip and be done with it.  Here are a few pictures and a quick summary of some of the highlights of our vacation.

1.  After 20+ hours in the Sienna, hoards of junk food and way more "screen time" than the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends, we made it to Utah.  The kids were fabulous. Seriously.  I'm not saying I want to make that drive again, but it really wasn't too bad.

2.  After 3 years in South Africa Grandpa and Grandma are back home.  I don't think the 36 of us made too much of scene when we saw them coming down the escalator at the airport.  We probably made more of a scene when we all went to Taco Time for dinner on the way home.

3.  I love BYU.  It's hard to believe that it was (almost) 19 years ago that Erik and I met on this beautiful campus.  It's even harder to believe that we could have a daughter there in four year.  But we're not thinking about that right now.

4.  In case you've ever wondered what it looks like when 19 cousins pile into a decorated trailer for a neighborhood parade...  here you go.  Amanda designed the sweet shirts for us all to wear. We finished our Independence Day celebrations with an "Iron Chef Egan" competition and an assortment of glow sticks and sparklers.

5.  We had a great cookout in Mill Creek Canyon with the Angerbauers.  We miss you!!!

6.  Not everyone gets to have a Next Food Network Star watching party with one of the contestants at their family reunion.  Are we lucky, or what? (Don't forget about the fan favorite poll.)

7.  No trip to Salt Lake would be complete without a stop at temple square.

8.  Aaron was great to pose for lots of pictures at the grooms dinner on the wedding eve.

9.  We wrapped up the trip with Robby and Kelsey's wedding.  I think the girls were more excited about dressing up than the boys.

There you have it.  If you're dying for more pictures, check out my gallery on Shutterfly. Enjoy!

Aaron's hair/tree threw me for a big loop! That is hilarious. Super cute pictures. Fun to share the same vacation with you guys this year! I told Luke today that it's time to go see Amanda (the name of the girl who cuts his hair) and he asked if Shawn would be there, too. :) Great pictures!

What a fun trip you had. Isn't it amazing what you can pack into a few weeks. The wedding looked beautiful and I loved imagining you all heading into Taco Time! We did something similar on our way back from Bear Lake, stopping at Wendy's.
