Little Things

The Tipping Point

I started this several months ago and even though it took me awhile to read I really did enjoy it.  I was just trying to "read it on the side" along with my book club books.

Malcolm Gladwell is a great writer and the whole concept of this book was very fascinating. He explores what it is that makes things turn, almost overnight, from ordinary to popular. I think Gladwell did a great job exploring what he calls the "tipping point" of ideas, products or situations ("the levels at which the momentum for change becomes unstoppable.") I loved his examples and case studies including the popularity of Hush Puppies shoes; Paul Revere's famous ride; what Sesame Street does right; and teen smoking.

I would definitely recommend The Tipping Point.  It was very insightful.
