A few thoughts for today:
* Did you know that, according to WebMD, a poison ivy reaction can occur 5 - 15 days after the initial exposure. I am one of those lucky ones who found new spots every day during that time period. Now I get to wait out the "10 days to three weeks" for all of the affected areas to heal. I am choosing to ignore the line that says "in people who are very sensitive... the rash may take up to six weeks to heal." Awesome. More about how I got this dreaded poison ivy in another post.
* It's been 30 years since my favorite childhood idols released an album together, but yes, Donny and Marie are back. I watched every episode of their 70's TV Show (I'm still a little bit country) and treasured my purple-clad dolls. I'm not afraid to admit that I'm still a fan and need to get my hands on their new cd. I would just download it, but my iPod has been missing since Christmas...
* Speaking of idols, I think Steven Tyler is the best thing that's happened to American Idol in years. Once an avid Idol watcher, my interest waned over the past couple of years. I was mostly tired of Simon Cowell's cocky rudeness. Even though I agreed with his judgement most of the time, he just wasn't nice. Steven Tyler brings some humanity and personality to the show that I find fun and refreshing. The Dude may look like a lady, but I find him fascinating. He is on my short list of famous people I want to invite over for dinner.

Julie! I'm so sorry about the poison ivy!!! What a bummer! I hope you get better soon! (none of that six week business!)
I totally agree about Steven Tyler. I haven't watched much this season, but when I have, he's been my favorite part! If you have him over for dinner, can I come? ;)

I remember much of my childhood (or a few months, whatever) doing anything I could to just be able to touch your coveted Donny and Marie dolls. Coolest big sister toys EVER!
