A (somewhat) Major Event

Mason has always been such a good sleeper, both at night and nap time. His endless energy wears him out and he has always loved his crib. But over the past month I've realized that my baby will soon turn three and crib time should come to an end. With a bit of reservation on my part and a lot of excitement on his part we made the transition to the big boy bed. The naps don't come quite as often now and the newfound nighttime independence has caused a few later-than-usual bedtimes. But it's time to let our baby grow up just a bit.
Sweet dreams little Mason. Don't grow up too fast.

It's such a bitter sweet moment! I love this sleeping picture!

He looks just like a little boy should...completely wiped out and knackered (as Australians would say). We miss you.

As I was putting Caleb to sleep tonight & he was kissing me repeatedly, I thought (again!) of the lyrics to the country song:
You're gonna miss this!
I cried - just a little bit :)

oh wow - that's a big step. Abby wants to move to a bed but I'm keeping her in the crib as long as I can..... i love how tired the kids can get themselves, though...

Is this the first time you haven't had one in the crib? It is definitely hard to let the baby grow up ;)

That's so sweet. Christina will be 3 in November and still loves her crib too. Since she naps daily and sleeps so well, I hate to change things up too much. However, I know it won't be long.
