Ten years ago today it was 114* in Chandler, Arizona. Ten years ago today I discovered that our washing machine had broken and flooded part of our kitchen, but I didn't have time to deal with it before my doctor appointment. Ten years ago today my feet and hands were swollen and I was tired. Ten years ago today I decided that I didn't care if my due date was still 16 days away, I would just tell my doctor that I was done. Ten years ago today I forgot about the huge mess in my kitchen and snuggled my new baby boy.
Ten years ago today I became the mother of a son.
Happy Birthday to my sweet Ryan. I can't believe how fast you're growing up.

WHAT?? TEN?? I mean, I guess I knew he was nine, but TEN just seems so much older! As I started reading this my first thought was- Ashley's birthday isn't until July, why is she writing about having a baby 10 years ago? RYAN? Oh right- Ashley will be TWELVE next month. MAN! Time flies!!
