I finished reading this book last week during spring break, but never got around to writing my review. We're discussing A Thousand Voices by Lisa Wingate at book club tonight. This is the fifth (and last) book in her Tending Roses series.
Overall I enjoyed the story, but I think you'd have to read the previous books to really get the full benefit of it. I found that the story line was good but there were a few things that bugged me about the plot. I liked that this story was about Dell, a girl, now 20 years old, who wants to find out more about her troubled past. She plays a roll in the other books and it was fun to have her as the focus in this one. I wouldn't put this on my "must read" book, but it's a good story.
I would recommend reading Tending Roses first and go from there if you enjoy Lisa Wingate's writing. I'm glad I read the books, but not sure I would have continued with the series if they weren't picked for book club.
